Enviroment
In Los Molles we care for the environment.
The electrical energy provided is renewable, non-polluting hydroelectric or solar energy. We are the only cottage complex in the area providing this service. In case you want to use an electrical appliance, please check with reception beforehand.
Los Molles area is a world’s water reserve. Its rivers and streams are completely unspoiled and unpolluted. They are also a source of fresh water. Let’s take care of them.
Champaquí: In the language of the Indian Comechingones, this word means “water at the top of the hill”.
Sierras Grandes, also called Sierras de los Comechingones, is one of the oldest geological formation in the country. This mountain range dates from the Precambrian Period and it extends over 200 km from Achiras in the south to Cruz del Eje in the north. The Champaquí hill (2790 m above sea level) is its highest peak.
Additional Advice
- Please, do not light fires. In case it is absolutely necessary to do so, enclose the camp fire with stones and choose a place far from trees, dry leaves, and grasses. Fires should be started on land with no vegetation. Check that no sparks are spread, especially on windy weather. Before leaving, make sure the fire is completely extinguished. To do this, use water and/or earth.
- Do not leave behind or throw away garbage or waste during excursions.
- Do not throw away lit matches or cigarettes butts on bushes, leaves, grasses, or on other flammable items. If possible, avoid smoking. If you smoke, please extinguish cigarettes completely.
- Do not throw away bottles and/or cans on the ground, since they can act as a lens and cause a fire.
- Put out any fire you come across on your way.
- Do not cut tree branches.
- Let’s not lose our forest wealth and the fauna living in it due to recklessness or negligence.
- Trout live in unpolluted environments and they are an indicator of water quality.
The environment provides shelter to flora and fauna species… Our life depends on them.
Los Molles wishes you a happy stay.
